How a Cupcake brand helped shape a golf brand — and led to a collab I never imagined.

Before there was a Highland cow named Looper or a golf brand called Caddy Collective Culture, I stumbled across a brand online that completely changed how I saw things.

That brand was Johnny Cupcakes.

I wasn’t looking for anything in particular — but I remember being blown away by how different it felt. It wasn’t just about t-shirts. It was about experience. Creativity. Detail. It was clear that every inch of that brand was intentional, from the packaging to the product names to the community they’d built around it.

At the time, I had no idea I’d ever start my own company. But Johnny’s approach stuck with me. The way he treated a drop like a story. The way he made you feel something just through branding and imagination. It was one of the first times I realized a brand could be more than a business — it could be something that actually made an impact on people.

Years later, when I started CCC, I carried that with me. I wanted to bring that same kind of magic to the world of golf. To create gear that wasn’t just functional — but collectible, story-driven, and made with love and intention. And just as importantly, I wanted to build a brand that stood for something bigger: a sense of community, a way to give back through creativity and connection.

Eventually, I took a long shot and reached out to Johnny. I never expected a response.

But he wrote back.

Not only that — he wanted to collaborate. And from there, we started building what would become one of the most meaningful drops I’ve ever worked on.

This collab is more than just Looper with a Cupcake. It’s a tribute to everything I’ve admired about Johnny’s brand for years — the fun, the detail, the heart behind it all. Every piece in this release — from the frosting-drip headcovers to the custom packaging modeled after an oversized sleeve of golf balls — was crafted with storytelling in mind, rooted in community, and built with a deep respect for design and craft.

I’ve learned so much through this process, and I hope to build something as special and lasting as Johnny Cupcakes has. Something fun. High quality. Rooted in community. And always grounded in a love for the game.

Thank you for being part of it.
